Frequently Asked Questions About Silver and Charcoal Kennels
At Silver and Charcoal Kennels, we want every family to feel confident and informed before bringing home a new Labrador Retriever puppy. Below are answers to some of the most common questions about our puppies, pricing, deposits, registration, health guarantee, pickup options, shipping, and breeding program.
How much do your Labrador Retriever puppies cost?
Our Labrador Retriever puppies are $2,500 with limited AKC registration. This price applies to silver Lab males and females, charcoal Lab males and females, white Lab males and females, fox red Lab males and females, and champagne Lab males and females.
What is the price for full registration or breeding rights?
Full AKC registration with breeding rights is $3,000. If you purchase a puppy with limited registration and later decide to purchase breeding rights after picking up your dog, the price for breeding rights increases to $1,000.
What is the difference between limited registration and full registration?
Limited AKC registration means the puppy is registered with the AKC, but breeding rights are not included. Full registration includes breeding rights and is intended for approved buyers who plan to use the dog for breeding purposes.
Do your puppies come with AKC registration?
Yes. All puppies from Silver and Charcoal Kennels come with AKC registration. Depending on your purchase, your puppy may come with either limited registration or full registration with breeding rights.
Do your puppies come with a health guarantee?
Yes. All puppies from Silver and Charcoal Kennels come with a 24-month hip guarantee stating that the puppy is free from genetic hip defects. This is a health warranty and does not include a paperwork warranty.
Are the puppies current on vaccinations?
Yes. All of our Labrador Retriever puppies are current on vaccinations before going to their new homes. We also carefully monitor each puppy’s growth, health, and development during their time with us.
How old are the puppies when they go home?
Our puppies typically go to their new homes at approximately 8 weeks of age. During those first weeks, they receive hands-on care, early socialization, and plenty of attention to help them adjust well to family life.
How do I reserve a Labrador Retriever puppy?
A $500 deposit is required to reserve a puppy. We take deposits based on availability, not by specific litters. Because our puppies are often reserved before they are born, we recommend contacting us early about current or upcoming availability.
What information should I send after making a deposit?
After making your deposit, please send a separate email to Silver and Charcoal Kennels with your name, address, phone number, and the sex and color of the puppy you are interested in.
Should I contact Silver and Charcoal Kennels before sending a payment?
Yes. Please contact Silver and Charcoal Kennels before sending a deposit or balance payment. This helps us confirm availability and make sure everything is properly documented before payment is submitted.
What payment methods do you accept?
For your convenience, Silver and Charcoal Kennels accepts Visa, MasterCard, and American Express through PayPal. You can use the payment form on our website to pay your deposit or remaining balance after speaking with us.
Do you sell puppies sight unseen?
No. We care about our customers and our puppies, and we do not sell puppies sight unseen. Whether your puppy is delivered to you or picked up at our kennels, you will have the opportunity to observe your puppy before purchasing and taking custody.
Can I pick up my puppy at your kennels?
Yes. Families are welcome to pick up their puppy at Silver and Charcoal Kennels. Pickup details will be arranged with you once your puppy is ready to go home.
Do you offer puppy delivery or shipping?
Yes. We offer delivery and shipping options for families outside our local area. Shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. For shipment within the United States, the cost is $500 and up depending on location.
What happens if I cannot pick up my puppy on time?
Any puppy left behind more than one week after the pickup date set by Silver and Charcoal Kennels will be charged a boarding fee of $15 per day. Special circumstances must be discussed with us in advance.
What Labrador Retriever colors do you offer?
Silver and Charcoal Kennels offers several Labrador Retriever colors, including silver, charcoal, white, fox red, and champagne Labs. Availability may vary, so please contact us for current and upcoming litters.
